I bought this 1937 Packard Twelve Formal Sedan out of a junkyard in April 1963. It cost $100.
Now you would have to pay $100 just for one of the front bumper guards. I sold it in 1969 for $900.
It was this car that started my Passion.

How did she get her name? Actually, the day I bought her, a friend suggested that she looked like an 'Irene'. I thought it appropriate.
Meet "Theresa Irene"...our Late 1925 Packard sedan.
Her name...coincidence....Theresa Irene was the daughter of the man who restored her. She loved the car and helped her dad restore it. Packard did not really call these '1925' models; they were Third Series. The Third Series ran from Feb '25 to August '26. (I call Theresa a '25 because that is the way she is licensed) During the production run, many subtle changes were made, such as: ...change from split windshield to one piece windshield. ...smaller turning radius ...change from hinged to fixed sun visor ...change from 5 to 6 lug wheels

Lalique Frency crystal...."Chrysis".... In the 30s owners of exquisite automobiles had the option of ordering French crystal radiator ornaments to further set their car apart from others. I have no idea what the original radiator ornament was on this car, but I choose "Chrysis" because I felt it complemented the graceful lines of the car.
Recently I had the privilege of speaking with a woman who grew up in the circles of American Aristocracy. She told me that the color of the car usually reflected the family colors. The chauffeur's uniform was a matching color and the piping on the chauffeur's sleeve and pant leg reflected the color of the upholstery of the car.

This is Mariah and Kong.
Mariah is basically a 1930 Chevrolet car that was highly modified by her Canadian owners. They had a fleet of 2000 cars and trucks which they rented out for movies.
At one time she was painted all white, had Model T fenders installed and one 1912 and one 1914 Cadillac headlight. The windshield is from some car about 1915.
The body is a Canadian pine. fabrication.
She has been in 5 movies...the most notable one....'Chicago'.
She will be featured at Houston's Autorama Thanksgiving weekend 2010 with the Vintage Chevy club
